Permits, Visas, and Residency Services for Individuals and Families Leaving New Zealand
Whether you are a New Zealand citizen or not, if you want to leave New Zealand, it is important to have all the necessary permits, visas, and passports in order.
• Most countries require you to have current valid visas (and if needed, specific permits) before you can enter there.
• In many cases, the application must be done in the country you are a citizen of, or that you live in.
• If you have citizenship in another country and go back there for just a visit, you may not be allowed back into New Zealand, if you don’t have the proper re-entry visa.
Also, many things can go wrong when applying for these visas:
• Making mistakes in the application forms can delay your visa or permit, or even make your application get rejected.
• If you do not know WHY an application is asking a question, you may volunteer information that will hurt your chances of acceptance.
